A Great Sandal for a Great Price
I have had Adidas sandals/slides before and do not particularly like sandals like the adissage where the message part take quite some time to break in. The calissage slide are comfortable and stylish from day 1. I was fortunate enough to essentially get two pairs for the price of 1 but even at full price these would be great sandals.

Redux - Miniature Sandals
Updated Review:
I was a bit hasty in my previous review. It turns out that due to some confusion between Amazon's ordering system and the seller's system what I received was actually a woman's US size 9. Shoemania quickly and politely corrected the problem emailing me a prepaid return label and sent off another in the correct size. Though they forgot to honor the 2-day shipping agreement they promptly credited me the price difference. I've had a few weeks to try these sandals now and I like them very much. I bought them to replace my beloved Mephistos which I had for years and had worn threadbare. I'm diabetic and have problems wearing most other tighter fitting shoes so sandals tend to be my footwear of choice.
These sandals do take some getting use to - they're a lot like walking on cushy rockers. This makes it more comfortable to walk as the sandals rock forward with you in natural walking motion. It is possible however to accidentally rock backwards far enough to fall backwards so some care is necessary. They are comfortable enough to wear all day and on extended walking tours. One nit is that the strap that goes across the instep tends to push into your foot causing a little discomfort. This is unavoidable as a result of the walking/rocking motion that is the point of the design. Another nit is that the clips that secure the straps are a bit small and they're a little difficult to maneuver. Overall though they are an excellent product - well made. They still don't beat my beloved Mephistos but they are 2/3 the price and a fine replacement.
Previous Review:
I wish I could comment on this sandal for its comfort and ergonomic design but I am unable to squeeze into this very expensive miniature to be able to tell. When I opened the box I immediately noticed the size problem and checked the markings on the heel strap - European size 40 1/3 US size 9.5. Puzzled as the sandals are significantly smaller than my other size 9.5 shoes I took them to my friend at Nordstrom who measured them with his spiffy meter. European size 38.5 / US size 8. That seems more like it. Why such a significant difference? Have they no quality control? For as expensive as these sandals were I expect much better.

Durable and comfortable
I've owned a pair of these Tevas now for just over five years. I've traveled with them all over the place. Even after five years they're still holding together very well. The construction is top notch. The straps are securely attached to the sole of the sandal and there's no indication that they're going to come off or tear any time soon.
A couple of caveats:
- The foam rubber that they use on the soles feels nice and springy at first. But they eventually compress and lose some of their cushiness. That's probably going to happen with pretty much any sandal of this type and not with a sandal that has a more rigid sole e.g. Birkenstocks. Still the sandals are still comfy enough even after the soles have compressed.
- The foam rubber while flexible and comfortable can be penetrated by sharp objects - nails glass fragments larger splinters of wood etc. On a couple of occassions I've felt something poking me and have had to pull out something that pierced through the sole. But they do fine on most surfaces.
That said I'd by another pair in a heartbeat. And I probably will. After five years I think it's about time to retire these puppies. So kudos to Teva; they've won me over as a customer.

Best comfort and durability I have ever seen in a sandal
This is one of the most comfortable shoes or sandal I have ever owned. I first saw these on some ultralight backpackers I met in 2005 and they swore by them for comfort and strong enough to climb rough terrain. For a sandal that just blew me away. I confess I have not used them to backpack but I have used them on rough terrain and they are outstanding and amazingly "grippy". It has little nubs on the carbon outer sole that dig into or grip everything.
SIZING: I have read that most people find that they need to buy a half size larger than they do with other shoes and that was my experience as well.
COMFORT: Tremendous arch support. The sandal has a wide toebox so that your toes are not cramped together and the protective toe guard is great. I never stub a toe or catch a toe on anything with these plus I can hide my ugly toes. It also has a little rise on the rear heel that cups your heel comfortably but helps protect you against those people that step on the back of your foot in line. The sandal feels very secure once it is on and does not slip. There are no straps to fool with or Velcro to adjust it has an inner lining that looks like the neoprene on a scuba suit it stretches to fit. The rear strap does not hurt your foot. It has a no lace closure and you set it once from then on it slips on easy. The footbed cradles my foot like no shoe I have ever seen. There is a little ridge on the inner sole that runs behind the toes and then in between your big toe and other toes it turns out to add to the comfort of the shoe immensely. That ridge forms in a short time to your foot giving you your own custom fit. With these shoes I find i can stand longer and walk longer.
GRIP AND TRACTION: It has an anatomical outer sole that is very grippy with a nice athletic shape it gives good traction on sand rock mud you name it. It is not slippery on wet surfaces like the dock and the sole does not leave any marks on floors. The tread does not hold dirt in any grooves to track indoors. It is great for water use and can be completely submerged with no damage. If it gets wetthe material that wicks the water away fast.
ODOR: It has an anti-microbial treatment that takes away any germs I do not know how long that treatment lasts though. They do not get sweaty or smelly like my Crocs do.
DURABILITY: I got my money's worth out of them for sure. When my H2's get dirty I throw them in the sink under the hose or even in the washer and they come out like new. I wore these almost daily for 4 months straight with no evidence of wear. It has now been 4 years and I still use them more than any other shoe in the summer. I hope they are still made as durable as they were when I bought mine. This includes vacation in which I am standing in line all day at theme parks and scrambling at the beach. These come in many colors. For a dressier sandal I also like the brown Dunham Moose Fisherman (actually designed by New Balance). These sandals were good enough to get me to buy two tennis shoes from the same company in the last 4 years an in-town shoe called Austin and an ugly hiker called the Targhee II. In the end I just can't say enough about these shoes I highly recommend.

Comfortable orthopedic workout sandals
I bought these sandals because I have issues with my feet knees lower back and hips. These are very comfortable to walk in while giving a good workout and correcting the way we walk. I would buy another pair and recommend them highly.

Not as comfortable as describe
The new teva Hurricane 3 look the same as older models but is not as comfortable as the old models. They use less rubber and less cushion that mean it will not absorb the shocks on impact. I really like Tevas but saving the planet will not save your feet from hitting hard on the ground.

Great sandal!
I have had trouble with support with many shoes. This is one great sandal that does have support and is true to size.

More comfortable and stylish than Keens at a better price.
Back in the day Teva's were the only really good sandal out there. Then along came Birkies Naots Keens Crocs Merrells(still love them) and a bunch of others.
I was at a shoe store in St. Augustine with the intent of buying some Keens. I tried them on and a few others and noticed the Dozer. They were pretty sharp looking and I slipped one on. Couldn't believe how comfortable they were. Great arch support and good sole. I have the brown pair and I wear them on hikes and around town. The sandal feels stable even with a backpack on.
I think I shall put them on now.
